Misbah-ul-Haq Hints At Playing Shadab Khan Instead Of Fawad Alam
Pakistan’s head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq during a media briefing and while hinting at the probability of playing an additional spinner ahead of a recognized batsman said, “We will keep an eye on the pitch and the weather conditions, today and tomorrow, before taking a decision on whether to play two spinners or not…It is a possibility and an encouraging sign for us.”

So, Who Is Likely To Play In The Eleven?
Misbah’s comment clearly suggests that Pakistan are likely to go in with five recognized batsmen instead of six and hence, an all-rounder is almost certain to be inducted. So, given the scenario, this how the playing eleven should look like.
Shan Masood, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali (c), Babar Azam, Asad Shafiq, Mohd. Rizwan, Shadab Khan, Yasir Shah, Mohd. Abbas, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah.

End Of The Road For Fawad Alam?
Not really! A lot depends on the result of the first Test as well as on whether or not Pakistan’s experiment of playing a bowling all-rounder works. Also Asad Shafiq hasn’t been too consistent recently and therefore, there is still hope of registering an international comeback for Fawad Alam.
