Marriage has always been a subject of great debate in Pakistan, especially when it comes to Pakistanis’ take on love and arranged marriages.

In a region where marriage is more of a family decision rather than individuals and people are married off on the basis of castes, color, creed and sects, a lot of frustration is seen on youngsters’ part who want to make this life decision independently. However, change in the trend is quite discernible as more love marriage stories emerge on social media.

So, in order to find out what people think about the two and check if love marriage is still considered a taboo, we conducted a social experiment in F-11, Islamabad. Men and women were asked to choose between love and arranged marriage.
