A couple of years ago, around the time the Shah Rukh Khan – Alia Bhatt starrer, Dear Zindagi was releasing, Alia had sent out a tweet thanking SRK for the “…cool VFX…” that made the actress look, “…much better…”

SRK, who was also the producer of the film had responded with a tweet that read, “@gauris u girls r the soul of Zindagi & happiness. Glad I could be of service.”

Under this conversation, Alan Rusbridger, the Principal of Lady Margaret Hall Oxford University had tweeted at SRK, inviting him to the campus to give his students a talk.

These tweets were sent out on 28 and 29 November 2016 and Shah Rukh had not yet responded to Rusbridger.

However, this changed yesterday when Nobel Laureate and Pakistan’s very own, Malala Yousafzai joined the thread.

“Still waiting!!!!  ,” she tweeted on 7 November 2018.

Malala’s tweet prompted the South Asian megastar to respond to the two year old request within an hour!

“Most certainly would love to do it & meeting u will be a privilege. Will put my team to schedule it sooner than soon,” Shah Rukh Khan assured Malala in his reply.

She might still be a student but this Twitter exchange between  Malala Yousafzai and Shah Rukh Khan is proof enough that when the young Nobel Laureate joins a conversation, even the most celebrated film star in the world cannot ignore her request!

At our end, we can’t wait to see what comes out of the meet-up between Malala Yousafzai and Shah Rukh Khan!
