This Indian News Channel Says Narendra Modi Was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan In Pechla Janam

An Indian news channel recently aired a sensational story in which it was claimed that the current Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan in his pechla janam, i.e. previous incarnation.

Notwithstanding the sensational tone of the anchor, the “news” story began normally enough. The host began by praising Modi for being a “great statesman” who was “busy strengthening India on all fronts.”

However, I became skeptical about the story the moment the host proclaimed that they were about to reveal the secret behind Modi’s past incarnation. No amount of skepticism however, could prepare me for what unraveled next!

The host then disappeared from the screen and in came a line-up of visuals bearing Modi’s face punctuated by a rather ominous voice-over.

“This is the biggest story to date. A story about a secret that neither Modi himself is aware about nor his followers and critics. In his last incarnation Narendra Modi was Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, the famous Muslim social worker.”

For the benefit of our foreign readers, Sir Syed was the first leader to demand a separate homeland for Muslims of the South Asian sub-continent.

Needless to say, the absurd claim met with all sorts of ridicule from social media users.

The logic behind this theory given by the news channel was that a famous person is reincarnated as a famous person. And so, because Sir Syed was a celebrated social worker and politician, he was reincarnated as a politician once again.

The channel entirely failed to shed light on why a widely loved Muslim leader was reincarnated as an Islamophobe in this janam?
