No Other Note-Worthy Candidate In Sight
Courtney Walsh has originally applied for the post of head coach. Nevertheless, PCB it seems has already made up their mind on appointing Misbah-ul-Haq for the position.
On the other hand, for the position of bowling coach, only Waqar Younis seems to be a worthy candidate of all whom have applied.
Waqar despite being an iconic figure has been tried before and things didn’t really work out for as long as he was in the office. Hence, PCB has little choice but to try and convince Walsh for the all-important position ahead of Waqar Younis.

Waqar Younis has had quite a few opportunities in Pakitan’s dressing room and frankly, he hasn’t been impressive as a coach. Also Pakistan is need of someone who is able to provide new ideas.
Therefore, appointing Courtney Walsh ahead of Waqar Younis most definitely seems to be the better choice on this front.
