We met with Waqar Chattha, the guy who made this much needed sports facility become a reality! He not only gave us a guided tour of The Stadium, but also shared how the idea first transpired and all the hard work that went into making it possible.

Waqar Chattha and his partner Zain Tashfeen launched The Stadium in November last year hoping to provide young people in Islamabad with a healthy substitute to smartphones, gaming consoles and even drugs! They felt that the only correct way to be “high” is to be high on life and what better way to get the adrenaline rushing than to indulge in spots?

Since its launch, The Stadium has attracted a lot of positive buzz, not just by young people but even professionals who find the facility as an excellent and healthy way to vent out the stress of a hard day’s work.

The Stadium offers a football ground, zorb ball facilities and a cricket pitch. The dynamic duo of Waqar and Zain virtually work around the clock to ensure that visitors who choose to come once frequent the place again. Waqar looks after the overall management and marketing while Zain takes care of the bookings and logistics. She’s also responsible for academic linkages and PR dealings.

Waqar’s message in the end is something every aspiring entrepreneur in Pakistan should hear if he or she truly wants to start a successful venture.
