Defence Day: 5 Songs To Revive Your Patriotism

Today is 6 September and we should take some time to remember those who sacrificed their lives and defended this motherland on this day.

Sung by Malika-e-Tarannum, Noor Jahan, this song was for Pakistani soldiers fighting the 1965 war against India. Many soldiers said that the song was a source of motivation for them.

2.Tum Hi Se Hai Aye Mujahido

Tum hi se aye Mujahido! Jahan ka Sabaat hai
Tumhari Mishal bapa, Farogh-e-shash jehaat hai
Tum hi se Aye Mujhido! Jahan ka Sabaat hai

This song was sung by the “King of Pop” Alamgir Haque.

3.Qasam Us Waqt Ki

Qasam us waqt ki
Jab waqt ham ko aazmaata hai
Jawaanon ki zubaan par nara-e-takbeer aata hai

Qasam us waqt ki is a song by the famous Junaid Jamshed.

Jamshed gained international recognition with another patriotic song Dil Dil Pakistan sung when he was a part of the band, Vital Signs.

4.Apni Jaan Nazar Karun

Apni jaan nazar karun
Apni wafa paish karun
Qoum ke mard-e-mujaahid
Tujhe kya paish karun?

It was sung by the “King of Ghazal” Mehdi Hassan. The legend, Faiz Ahmed Faiz also used to say that Ghazal belongs to Mehdi Hassan.

5.Aay Rahe Haq Kay Shaeedon

Aay rahe haq k shahedo
Wafa ki tasweero
Tumhain watan ki hwaen salam kehti hein

This is another patriotic song by Noor Jahan who still moves the spirit of Pakistanis with her voice.
