Google’s “Search in a Year” list is out and like everyone else around the world, we were curious to learn about the most searched keywords coming out of Pakistan. Based on the results offered by Google trends, this is what Pakistanis searched on Google in 2018!

Top 10 Keywords Searched by Pakistanis in 2018

It seems sports remained on the minds of most Pakistanis this year since 7 out of the top 10 results were sports related.

Cricket was of course among the most searched sports with  5 out of the 10 items featuring one cricketing event or the other.

Top 10 People Searched by Pakistanis in 2018

Women led the most searched people’s list with 7 out of the 10 top searches featuring women.

The first lady, Bushra Maneka is at the top of this list and quite understandably so! Despite a televised interview and a few appearances alongside her husband, there is still a huge curiosity surrounding the mysterious personality of the Prime Minister’s wife.

Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Reham Khan also featured on this list and was the fourth most searched person in Pakistan.

Meghan Markle, Meesha Shafi, Iqra Aziz, Sonali Bendre and Sunny Leone were the other women on the list.

The two Hollywood films that featured on this list, i.e. Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were both from the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)
