While many predicted a low voter turnout, it seems literally the entire country was standing in queues outside polling stations today in solidarity with a democratic Pakistan. Men, women, transgender people, elderly, differently-abled – you name it and they were there, patiently awaiting their turn to stamp the ballot.
When such an overwhelming number of Pakistanis came out to support democracy, it was only natural for the who’s who of the country to also flaunt their inked thumbs.

The most encouraging part is that not only did these famous Pakistanis caste their votes but they also appealed to the millions of people who adore them to follow suit.
