NA120 vs Pepsi Battle of the Bands – Who Really Won? Cast Your Vote NOW!

Pakistanis experienced a collective moment of adrenaline rush yesterday with the results of two highly anticipated events being announced on the same day.

On one hand there was the by-election in NA120, Lahore. Kulsoom Nawaz,  the wife of deposed Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif contested on the National Assembly seat that was left vacant after the Premier was forced to step down by the Supreme Court of Pakistan following the Panama scandal.

On the other hand, there was Pepsi Battle of the Bands. In the last two months, this show became more than just reality television. The revival of Pepsi Battle of the Bands became a symbol of the return of music to Pakistan and the love that it received from entertainment hungry Pakistanis was unprecedented.

Interestingly, both the (much awaited) results were a product of popular vote and Pakistanis went out of their way to have their voices heard on both fronts.

But this time, it was almost like people had consciously decided to side with either politics or music. Those who were following the NA120 elections were glued to the news channels all day.

On the flip side, fans of Pepsi Battle of the Bands were entirely invested in the grand finale, completely oblivious to how the by-election was faring in Lahore.
