Indian Citizens Praise Prime Minister Imran Khan

After weeks of warmongering on Indian mass and social media, voices of reason have finally begun to have themselves heard.

While until midday day today, the hashtag #FakePakClaims was the top trend on Indian Twitter, the mood almost instantly changed once images and videos of captured Wing Commander Abhinandan went viral.

Loud war chants were replaced with the sounds of those citizens who, up until then, it seems were silent in the face of the hate-mongering extremist elements.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s address and DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor’s press conference also played a huge role in rallying the Indian citizens for peace.

This is evident from the fact that #SayNoToWar, which had been the top Twitter trend in Pakistan all day finally began trending in India towards the later half of the day.

Indian citizens are now demanding from their Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reciprocate Pakistan’s call for deescalation.

Some Indians also seem visibly upset with Modi and his government’s tactics to exploit war and unrest ahead of the polls.

There is also anger towards the Indian media among the general public

Here’s hoping that peaceful voices on both sides of the border will prevail and the hostilities between the two countries will not break into an armed conflict.

A hundred times, #SayNoToWar!
