FACE Music Mela held in the first quarter of this year in Islamabad aimed to create awareness about sexual harassment on both social media and ground by setting up a complaining centre to report the occurrence of such incidents during the event. This time also, they have made sure that its not all fun and games!

Along with the preservation and promotion of Hunza’s culture at the heart of the festival, FACE has also launched a campaign to promote responsible tourism in the Passu edition. Around 50 dustbins are being taken to Hunza with the caravan which will be installed at the venue to discourage littering. It’s high time that we as a nation learn to respect and preserve our beautiful land by adopting better hygiene practices.

Moreover, in an effort to leave a legacy behind and create a sustainable impact on the lives of people of Passu, FACE has decided to endow a local public school with the stage set-up primarily for the festival. The school lacks any infrastructure where students can exhibit their talent and thus, the move will give these children an avenue to not only project their craft but also augment their self-confidence.
