Babar Azam’s captaincy was short of expectations throughout the recently concluded Asia Cup. Even Bangladesh’s Shakib-ul-Hassan captained his side better than Pakistan’s number one batter who seemed to be stuck in the T20 mode. Pakistani batters struggled against quality spin bowlers throughout the Asia Cup as well as in the ODI series against Afghanistan that was played prior to the Asian event. Pakistan then apart from improving their skills against spin bowling also need to play Saud Shakeel in the playing eleven as he is known for his ability to neutralize spinners.
