Ramiz Raja pointed out Pakistan’s biggest weakness ahead of the #AsiaCup23. The former chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), expressed his views during an appearance on his You Tube channel and so, here is a look at what he had to say.

While shedding light on Pakistani batters’ weakness against spin bowlers, Raja said, “Pakistan is facing issues against spin bowling and this is something they need to fix ahead of the Asia Cup and World Cup because they will be played in similar conditions. If we don’t resolve this issue, we will find it really difficult to progress in the tournaments. It seemed as if the Pakistani batters were like a rabbit that freezes when in front of a car’s headlights. Pakistan team is heavily reliant on Babar Azam, be it Test cricket, ODIs or T20Is. He makes the headlines even when he is dismissed for a duck.”

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan could only manage 201 runs during the first #PAKvsAFG ODI and throughout their innings all batters found the Afghan spinners extremely difficult to negotiate.
