Ramiz Raja Believes That Babar Azam and Mohd. Rizwan Are Under Massive Pressure
While explaining his point of view on the matter Raja said, “Babar was scoring runs, but because of the tough home Test season there was undue pressure created on Babar. This is how the dressing room environment is disturbed.”

It is also worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s white ball vice-captain Shadab Khan couldn’t play the home series against the Kiwis owing to an injury. Rizwan who is the red ball vice-captain was considered as an automatic choice for the role. However, he was ignored completely, and Shan Masood instead was surprisingly appointed as the country’s vice-captain in the ODI format. Hence, while referring to the matter Raja further said, “Rizwan was also under pressure as he was dropped from the Tests against New Zealand. Because Pakistan have backup wicketkeeping options, Rizwan had to perform and bounce back which is not an easy thing to do. Why was Rizwan removed as vice-captain for no reason? Who was going to benefit from this decision?”
