Once known as the most prestigious mobile phone brand in the world, for the last decade Nokia has been on the back foot. The company was unable to keep pace with the smartphone revolution, losing most of its market share to Apple and Samsung.

However, Nokia seems to be gearing for a come back and recently the company launched not one but a trio of smartphone devices. These include, Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3. For this piece we will specifically review Nokia 3, which was the first android phone to be launched by the brand in its current line-up.

Nokia 3

This new smartphone comes with a sleek design that features an elegant polycarbonate body along with an aluminum frame.

For an improved visual experience, Nokia 3 contains polarized, sculpted 5” display with Corning Gorilla Glass. The inbuilt camera is 8 megapixels with auto-focus, both on the back and in the front. Google Photos provides for easy photo storage and sharing.

Nokia 3 is available in both single and dual sim facility.

To ensure that the phone’s actual functions are at par with currently available smartphones, Nokia 3 features a clean and clutter-free Android Nougat with regular updates.

Additionally, Nokia 3 has plenty of sensors to give its users a fulfilling experience. These include accelerometer, gyroscope and NFC for sharing. As is the norm with all smartphone devices, Nokia promises fast downloads and uninterrupted music and video streaming with LTE 4G connectivity for this android device.

The phone has a built-in memory of 16 GB in addition to a MicroSD card slot that which would further boost the memory by 128 GB.

On the whole the device seems user friendly and in compliance with all the consumer requirements. That said, Nokia will have to brew-up an innovative marketing strategy to win back its reputation, brand loyalty and hence, market share from competitors.
