#PSL 6 or the sixth Edition of Pakistan Super League is scheduled to begin from tomorrow and so, for the sake of Pakistan cricket here is a list of things we all want to see during the event.
New Middle-Order Batsmen
Pakistan is in desperate need for some new middle-order batsmen. Veterans Shoaib Malik and Sarfaraz Ahmed haven’t been able to find a place in Pakistan’s T20 playing eleven for a while now and for a number of reasons including issues relating to form. On the other hand, players such as Haider Ali, Asif Ali, Hussain Talat, Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah etc. have all disappointed over the last few months.
With the ICC T20 world cup only a few months away, Pakistan’s limited overs team is in desperate need of some good middle-order batsmen and hence, we all hope this year’s tournament helps in providing at least two to three options to the selection committee.
A New Title Winner At The End Of #PSL 6!
All franchises other than Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans have at least won the PSL title once. It is then high time then for one of the two to win this year’s tournament. Not only will good performance from either Sultans or Qalandars help in improving the quality of cricket during the upcoming season but it will also make things interesting during the next edition of the prestigious event.
A Controversy Free Tournament
We all want a controversy free tournament, don’t we? So, we all hope there are no spot-fixing or security related scandals during this year’s Pakistan Super League. Also, equally important is to have a tournament during which no COVID19 related issues crop up.
We have all seen how cricket in South Africa is suffering at the moment following the recent bio-bubble failure. We all then hope that something of similar nature doesn’t happen during the event as Pakistan can ill-afford such a controversy especially, when international cricket has just returned in the country after a delay of a decade or so.
