Pakistan’s skipper i.e. Babar Azam was placed as an expensive pick in the Hundred player draft i.e. supposed to take place on Monday, February 22, 2021 and so, here is a look at the story.

Babar Azam One Of The Most Expensive Players In The Hundred Player Draft

Babar Azam became one of the most expensive players after he was placed in the concerned draft with a base price of £100,000. Other players in the same category include Shakib Al Hasan, Quinton de Kock, Lockie Ferguson, Jason Holder, Tamim Iqbal, Kieron Pollard, Nicholas Pooran, Kagiso Rabada and David Warner.

Former captain Shahid Afridi has been placed in the second most expensive bracket i.e. worth £80,000. Mohd. Hafeez, Shadab Khan and Wahab Riaz on the other hand have managed to find themselves in the £60,000 base price category while pacer Hassan Ali has been placed with the base price of £48,000. Hussain Talat, Waqas Maqsood, Imad Wasim and Fakhar Zaman are part of the draft as well with a base price of £40,000 while Bilal Asif has also found a spot with his price reserved at £32,000.

Pakistani players who have managed to enter the draft without a reserve price include Sharjeel Khan, Iftikhar Ahmed, Kamran Akmal, Haider Ali, Faheem Ashraf, Zeeshan Ashraf, Ammad Butt, Zafar Gohar, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Irfan, Azam Khan, Sohail Khan, Sohaib Maqsood, Usama Mir, Asad Shafiq, Mohammad Rizwan, Khushdil Shah, Naseem Shah, Usman Shinwari, Haris Sohail, Aamir Yamin and Yasir Shah etc.

Meanwhile, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Aamir have already been retained by Birmingham Phoenix and London Spirit respectively.
