Vidisha Maitra, First Secretary of India’s Ministry of External Affairs, became a subject of lots of memes in Pakistan as Imran Khan clean bowled Modi during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session.

Imran Khan openly called out Modi for his revocation of Article 370 in Kashmir and for putting the valley under a complete lock-down.

PM Imran Khan did not mince any words and explained why and how India’s actions would radicalize Kashmiris and increase the likelihood of violence.

“Women, children, sick people are locked in animals, and it’s arrogance that has blinded him from the fact that…what is going to happen when the curfew is lifted?”

Khan also warned of a possibility of a war between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.

Pakistanis as always were able to see funny side of the entire event involving Indian diplomats at UNGA!

Some people however, felt that faces of the Indian diplomats were “guilt ridden” at UNGA

Exercising India’s right to reply, Vidisha Maitra said,

“Rarely has the General Assembly witnessed such misuse, rather abuse, of an opportunity to reflect. Words matter in diplomacy. Invocation of phrases such as ‘pogrom’, ‘bloodbath’, ‘racial superiority’, ‘pick up the gun’ and ‘fight to the end’ reflect a medieval mindset and not a 21st-century vision.”

Commenting on the revocation of Article 370, she said that it was revoked for the development of Kashmir.
