The four match #PAKvWI T20 series will end when the two sides meet again on coming Tuesday and so, here is a look at what we have been able to learn from the rain hit rubber, so far.
Rains During #PAKvWI T20 Series Spoils Pakistan’s Preparations For The T20 World Cup
There is little time left in the T20 world cup and so, Pakistan actually needed this series to see where they stand before the mega event. Two washed out matches then has spoiled things for them and hence, the management still seems clueless with regard to their best combination in the format.
A Career Saving Spell From Mohd. Hafeez
Mohd. Hafeez’s brilliant bowling spell that earned him the player of the match status during the second T20i is likely to extend his stay in Pakistan’s playing XI. Still, his poor performance with the bat means there is no end yet to Pakistan’s middle-order problems. The 40 year old then has to score some big runs otherwise he might not be part of Pakistan’s T20 squad.
No Place For Nawaz Still!
Mohd. Nawaz had been in brilliant form prior to the series and his performances in the format indicated that Pakistan had found a reliable left-arm spinner and a lower order batsman for the upcoming ICC T20 world cup. Nevertheless, its just strange how he was denied an opportunity in England and how Pakistani selectors continue to ignore him in West Indies. There is no word from the management that suggests he is injured. Placing an inform player on bench is sheer injustice and one on which surprisingly no one in the country is talking about!
