#PakvSL: Shaheen Afridi Excited To Be Back In The Test Squad

Shaheen Afridi is excited to be back in Pakistan’s Test squad and is all set to represent the green shirts during the #PakvSL series. So, here is a look at what the pacer had to say following his inclusion for what’s supposed to be his first Test tour in nearly a year.

#PakvSL: Shaheen Afridi Excited To Be Part Of The Test Tour

Pakistan is scheduled to play two Test matches in Sri Lanka next month. Over the weekend, PCB announced squad for the tour which comprises of the following players.

Babar Azam (c), Mohammad Rizwan, Aamir Jamal, Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, Imam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Noman Ali, Salman Ali Agha, Sarfaraz Ahmed (wk), Saud Shakeel, Shaheen Afridi and Shan Masood

Following his inclusion in Pakistan’s Test squad for the first time in a nearly a year, Afridi said, “I am very excited to be returning to the Pakistan Test side after a year. I dearly missed Test cricket and it was tough for me to be away from this format. I am eager to make an impactful comeback.”

It is worth mentioning here that Afridi injured himself while fielding during the tour to Sri Lanka last year. During the ICC T20 world cup he once more injured himself and so, he wasn’t able to play the Test matches at home during the previous home season.
