The last few months, Pakistan cricket has been in news for selecting wrong playing elevens. However, Shahid Afridi led selection committee that was appointed last week and that also includes Abdul Razzaq and Rao Iftikhar Anjum has already made a positive impact by ensuring that the green shirts get their selection right for once.

Rizwan had not been doing well in the longest format of the game and hence, there is no doubt that there was a need to rest him. He shouldn’t have played the last Test against England however, the previous selection committee thought otherwise. With Shahid Afridi taking over things have changed fast and Sarfaraz has been rightly allowed to revive his international career which is definitely a good news.

Moreover, the men in green have also included Mir Hamza after he was inducted in the squad late alongside Sajid Khan and Shahnawaz Dahani. The left-arm pacer had been performing big during the domestic season and therefore, he deserved to play especially when Shaheen Afridi is not available owing to reasons relating to his fitness.
