Indian students have been at the forefront of the protests that have engulfed the South Asian country in the last one week or so. Not willing to give into the bigoted, Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), young people across the country have come out in huge numbers crippling everyday functioning in most states.

The protests have been marred with violence allegedly instigated by police brutality.
Of course, the demeaning and elitist statements by the Indian ruling elite have not done much to soothe the aggravated protesters.
In the face of violence, state harassment and communicate blockades, the Indian janta stands united in its demand to repeal the recently passed contentious citizenship law.

And while students have been indulging in revolutionary poetry to keep their spirits high since the beginning of the protests…
…Pakistan’s Faiz Ahmed Faiz and his revolutionary poetry has also found its way to the Indian students protesting CAA.
With their enthusiasm unfettered and their smiles still in place, these young Indians are truly a force to reckon with for the right-wing, ruling BJP and its unprecedented repression in mainland India.
