Shan Masood Should Play Ahead Of Azhar Ali During The #PakvsEng Test Series
Shan Masood has been in terrific form during the recent months and so, it makes sense to play him ahead of out of form Azhar Ali who was dropped from the playing eleven earlier in the year when the men in green were playing in Sri Lanka.

Zahid Mahmood
Pakistan dropped leggie Yasir Shah for the series owing to reasons relating to his form. With the senior pro no longer available it is about time that Pakistan includes Mahmood in the playing eleven. His presence could definately help the Babar Azam led unit particularly because the English side has a long history of struggling against the leg spinners.

Abrar Ahmed
Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has done extremely well in the domestic circuit and hence, we can all expect him to do the same during the home series against England. Pakistan then must prefer him over the 36 year old Nauman Ali who over the course of his career has proved to be a containing and not an attacking option.

Sarfaraz Ahmed
With the ODI world cup next year, it is important for the Pakistani dressing room to rest key players like Babar Azam, Mohd. Rizwan, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Shaheen Afridi whenever possible. Former captain, Sarfaraz then is the obvious replacement for Mohd. Rizwan in Test matches. Resting Rizwan for a game or two during the home season will not only benefit him but will also allow Pakistan to explore and recheck the out of favor Sarfaraz’s form at the international stage.
