Lady constable Faiza Nawaz resigned after advocate Ahmed Mukhtar slapped her in Ferozewala, Karachi.

I can’t face the powerful world mafia, I’m really really fed-up with this unjust, tyrannical, and cruel system, so I’m resigning from my service. That’s all.”

What Exactly Happened?

The lady constable Faiza Nawaz was deployed on duty at a local court in Ferozewala. She stopped Ahmed Mukhtar from parking his car outside the court’s gate on September 5. He got angry and resorted to kicking and slapping the constable.

Character Assassination

It just did not stop there. The Ferozewala lawyer fraternity resorted to character assassination of Faiza and boycotted the bars and legal proceedings in favor of their fellow lawyer after he was taken into custody.

Mistake in FIR

Things got more twisted in this case as Ahmed Mukhtar was released on September 7 due to a mistake in the FIR as the lawyer’s name was written as Ahmed Iftikhar.

Is There Any Hope of Justice?

After Ahmed’s release, Faiza sees no hope of justice.

She has a masters degree and has served in anti-terrorism department and demands that she be given due respect.

“I felt honoured to join the police department and be in this job because I wanted to serve the people and get justice for women. However, I’m saddened that I still did not get any justice.”

She said that even people from her own department were not supporting her. She also said that she feared for her future now because of the threats she was getting.

The Punjab Police Spokesperson Nayab Haider said that justice would be served at all costs.

However, Advocate Ahmed Mukhtar denies the claim of brutally slapping Faiza.
