From the moment Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced the date of their wedding, their fans had been waiting for the couple’s big day with great anticipation. Various hashtags – #DeepVeerKiShaadi, #DeepVeerWedding and #DeepikaWedsRanveer began been doing rounds on social media well before the wedding day. In fact it won’t be wrong to say that the media attention and fan frenzy that this Bollywood wedding has received is not short of the clamour that a royal wedding invites.

Expectedly then, once the big day finally arrived, fans across South Asia spent the greater part of their day refreshing their Instagram in the hope of catching a glimpse of the bride and groom. After 24 hours had passed since the ceremony and the no picture from the tightly secured event had not been released, many, including Smriti Irani began taking funny digs at their own plight.

The clamour only shows the super fandom that both Deepika and Ranveer enjoy and the love that their fans have for the two actors.
