An Indian Guy Predicted The Pulwama Attack In July 2018 On Facebook

The Pulwama Attack has once again instigated tensions between arch rivals Pakistan and India.

The Indian government and media put the entire burden of blame on Pakistan within hours of the attack. They have since gone on an overdrive demanding blood and threatening war.

Pakistan on its end has maintained that it had nothing to do with the tragic suicide blast that claimed the lives of over 40 Indian soldiers.

Prime Minister Imran Khan in a statement on Tuesday extended an olive branch to his Indian counterpart urging him to provide actionable evidence against the involvement of Pakistan in the attack. He also pledged to take swift action in case such evidence was provided.

However, India has not backed down from its stringent stance and has complained of “veiled threats” in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s conciliatory message.

And while the hate driven rumpus refuses to die down, the Facebook post of an Indian citizen, Gopen Moses has surfaced in which he predicted the Pulwama attack back in July 2018.

The post reads, “PREDICTION: Some innocent soldiers will be killed in Kashmir as 2019 election knocks at the door.”

In all likability Gopen Moses’s post was nothing more than a layman’s conjecture. However, the sheer predictability of election-induced tragedy makes one extremely sad.

As for the Indian government and media, it seems chanting war hymns to remain relevant prior to the general elections is, unfortunately business as usual.
