End Of The Road For Azhar Ali And Fawad Alam?
Fawad Alam was dropped during the first while Azhar Ali was dropped during the second Test match. It seems that the selectors have had enough and so, this might be the last time we have seen both senior players in action at the international level.

Babar Azam, Naseem Shah And Abdullah Shafique Consolidate Their Positions During The #SLvsPAK Test Series
Opening batsman Abdullah Shafique and pacer Naseem Shah consolidated their positions with good performances in Pakistan’s playing eleven. Skipper Babar Azam on the other hand once again performed as expected and not only improved his status as the country’s skipper across formats but also as one of the best batsmen in international cricket.

Time To Rest Shaheen Afridi, Mohd. Rizwan And Hasan Ali
Pakistan’s number one pacer i.e. Shaheen Afridi suffered an injury during the series and frankly, it was expected because his workload has been extraordinary during the last twelve months or so. Mohd. Rizwan’s performance too it seems is beginning to reflect fatigue and so, perhaps the time is right to provide both of them rest ahead of the Asia Cup and T20 world cup i.e. scheduled to take place later in the year.

Pacer Hasan Ali who registered a brilliant international comeback last year on the other hand seems to have lost his confidence by now. Hence, the selectors might look to rest him as well for a little while so that he is able to go back to the drawing board and comeback with a better frame of mind.
