Shaheen Afridi is all set to miss the second #PAKvsSL Test match owing to an injury, the green shirts on the other hand are also expected to introduce two to three changes in the playing eleven that won the first game of the two match series.
#PAKvsSL: Shaheen Afridi Not Available, At least Two Changes Expected
Yesterday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) issued a statement while explaining that the green shirt’s ace pacer Shaheen Afridi will miss out the second Test match owing to an injury. The statement read that, “Due to a knee injury sustained on the fourth day of the first Test, Shaheen Afridi will miss the second Test. He will stay with the Test side in Sri Lanka, where his initial rehabilitation and management will continue under the supervision of the team’s medical staff.”
Pakistan’s think tank on the other hand is likely to make two to three changes in their playing eleven. Former captain, Azhar Ali has been in pretty ordinary form since late and so, there is a fifty percent chance of Shan Masood replacing him. Pakistan might also bring back the experienced Fawad Alam ahead of Agha Salman who was unable to impress much during his first international assignment last week. Finally, the there is also this good probability of the left-arm spinner, Nauman Ali coming in to replace the injured Shaheen Afridi particularly, if the conditions continue to provide assistance to spin bowling.
