Wasim Akram & Misbah-ul-Haq Want #BabarAzam To Continue As Pakistan’s Captain

While backing the under fire skipper Wasim who was talking to Cricket Pakistan said, “We have to support our captain. (I’m saying this because) I’ve played under 7 captains. If our captain is inexperienced right now, removing him won’t do any good. But supporting him will. We don’t need enemies, our own people are enough. I’m seeing how people are criticizing Babar left, right, and centre. It’s embarrassing. Please stop making fun of yourself. It genuinely hurts me.”

Misbah-ul-Haq on the other hand while talking to reporters in Lahore said, “The way Babar Azam has been targeted is not right. No matter who is the captain, a change should only be made after assessing things thoroughly. Decisions should not be taken just for the sake of putting pressure on others. Pakistan have done well in white-ball cricket but the same can’t be said about Test cricket. Babar Azam is not solely responsible for Pakistan’s performance in Test cricket. There is lack of planning and proper team selection in Test matches.”
