The Red Devils as they call them, can be a surprise package this World Cup and is one of the teams that have the potential to win FIFA World Cup 2018. Back in 2014 they were eliminated by Argentina in the Quarter final stage, a stage they again failed to surpass in Euro 2016 competing Wales.

The squad is extremely proficient and have the ability to pull off an upset at any point of the competition. Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vetronghen, Vermaelen, Meunier will keep the back line, with the midfield to be dictated by Axel Witsel, Kevin De Bruyne, Mousa Dembele and Fellaini. The red hot front line consists of Batshuayi, Lukaku, Eden Hazard, Dries Mertens and Carrasco who can punish any defense on their day.

Radja Nainggolan has been the surprise omission from the Belgian squad despite having a great season with Roma. Origi and Christian Benteke are other notable names dropped from the squad.

There hasn’t been once in the game’s history that Brazil start a World Cup without being the favorites and this year it isn’t any different. The South American giants have won the competition 5 times, more than any other country in the World.

The Seleção in recent times have been a bit off color owing to the defeat in the previous two Copa America championships. However, their recent Olympic triumph proved their potential to dominate the world. They had a sensational World Cup run last time at their home before they met Germany in the semi finals who thrashed them 6-1 and eventually finished being Champions.

The new Brazil manager has impressed the football world plus the squad looks promising when it comes to talent and skills. The most expensive player of all time, Neymar is the focal point of the squad who can change the game in a blink of an eye. Neymar partners with Firmino, and Gabriel Jesus in front while Douglas Costa, Oscar, Willian and Coutinho are responsible for play making behind them; a couple of world class defensive mid-fielders including Casemiro, Paulinho and Fernandinho have made it to the list along side Marcelo, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Felipe Luiz who’ll take the positions at defensive lines. Strong hands of Allison Becker and Ederson are their options for goalies with the Roma man being their first choice.

The European Elites have won the trophy only once which was 20 years ago when Zidane’s heroics in the finale of 1998 rescued the French side from Brazil’s wrath.

Les Bleus were also the runners up against Italy in 2006 but failed to impress in FIFA World Cup 2014. This time around the Frenchmen would be keen to bring the Golden Trophy home.

The young French talent is so unbelievable that seasoned players like Anthony Martial, Adrien Rabiot, Lacazette, Kingsley Coman, Laporte couldn’t make it to the team.

The strong centre back pairing of Umtiti and Varane is complemented by Sidibe and Mendy as full backs. Blaise Matuidi, Kante, Lemar, Pogba, N’zonzo complete the midfield army while Olivier Giroud, Griezmann, Nabil Fekir, Ousman Dembele, and Mbappe, all will be geared up to fire at all cylinders in front of the goal.

The hero of Euro 2016, Dimitri Payet’s injury ruled him out of the World Cup and his experience will be missing in this squad.

In a nutshell, elimination of France before the semi finals stage in this World Cup will be a let down for their fans across the globe.

The Die Mannschaft team is considered one of the finest when it comes to International football because of their free flowing, offensive and neat game and by the virtue of that, is one of the teams that have the potential to win FIFA World Cup 2018. No wonder they have won the competition 4 times, most recently being in 2014. The defending champions have been one of the most consistent sides in the competitions and have not finished below 3rd place in the past 4 editions.

Manager Joachim Low will find it difficult to decide whom to play in the starting lineup as the squad is crammed with talented and experienced players. The top keepers in the world, Manuel Neuer, Andre Ter Stegen and Kevin Trapp are the choices for goalies. Kimmich, Boateng, Hummels, Hector, Rudiger and Niklas Sule will be a part of the defending line. Midfield oozes with class as it includes names like Kroos, Ozil, Draxler, Gundogan, Khedira and Marco Reus, while the front line consists of Muller, Timo Werner and Mario Gomez.

Mario Gotze, the man who scored the winning goal back in 2014 and the assist provider Andre Schurrle both  failed to make it to the squad this year following below average seasons in their clubs. Leroy Sane was a surprise omission who had a great season with Manchester City’s title winning campaign but on international duty the winger has struggled under Joachim Low’s system.

The serial winners of 2008 Euros, 2010 World Cup and 2012 Euros will start their campaign under new manager Julen Lopetegui. The La Roja side did not have a very good World Cup last time in Brazil. Back then, the team was humbled by group stage exit after losing from Netherlands and Chile. The Reds also failed to mark themselves in Euros 2016 where Conte’s Italy knocked them out in round of 16.

This time around the Spanish team will be highly motivated to grab the trophy. Spain’s National Team is captained by Sergio Ramos; David De Gea is the guard of the goal and the likes of Andres Iniesta, Sergio Busquets, Isco and David Silva make their midfield unbeatable with Diego Costa, Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez as upfronts. Jordi Alba, Koke, Azpilicueta, Saul, Gerard Pique, Nacho and Carvajal are the other stars who will be a part of this team in Russia.

With such a strong team at disposal, Spain is expected to reach semi finals of the competition at the least and looks capable enough to emerge as a winner if the lady luck is their accomplice.
