Pakistan is all set to announce the #T20WC squad within a day or two and so, here is a look at why after the #AsiaCup2022 loss three to four changes are likely in the country’s 15 member touring party that will be leaving for Australia next month.

Changes Likely In Pakistan’s #T20WC Squad After The #AsiaCup2022 Loss
Pakistan will announce its T20 squad for the home series against England, the tri-nation series in New Zealand and the T20 world cup in Australia with in the next couple of days. The loss in Asia Cup has definitely upset plans ahead of the prestigious event and so, multiple changes are expected.
Hasan Ali and Shahnawaz Dahani are likely to be left out while Shaheen Afridi and Mohd. Wasim Junior (both subject to fitness) are almost certain to return to the squad. Shaheen and Wasim nevertheless, are unlikely to be fit for the series against England and hence, Dahani at least is expected to keep his place for the home series.

Shan Masood and former captains Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik are also strong candidates to make a comeback for the mega event. Khushdil Shah after a poor tournament is almost certain to be axed. Asif Ali and Iftikhar Ahmed were also ordinary and thus, they might not find a place again. Sarfaraz on the other hand is likely to play the entire home series against England because Mohd. Rizwan isn’t fully fit and the selectors would want to allow him ample time to rest before he travels to Australia.
