Restaurants Boycott foodpanda After The Delivery Service Demands More Commission

The restaurants in Pakistan are boycotting the famous food delivery app foodpanda as they allege that the company has made it a “routine to blackmail them for increasing their commission.”

The All Pakistan Restaurant Association (APRA) while expressing grave concern over the monopoly of food delivery companies, has requested the Prime Minister to take immediate notice and develop policy at the government level.

To record their protest, APRA has called for a three days boycott from foodpanda while the restaurants will be taking orders directly on their websites or call centers.

In a statement, they also mentioned that the restaurant industry operates at a profit of 10% to 12% only and foodpanda is paid 18% delivery commission and now they’re threatening to increase it to 25-30%.
