Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, and Justin Greaves recently tested positive for COVID19 while Sheldon Cottrell, Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers had returned positive during the initial phase of testing. Following the latest development the Windies are now left with a squad of 14 players and so, senior officials from both sides are all set to meet prior to the third T20 to decide fate of the series.

Moreover, SAMAA TV has reported that the Windies did not contract the virus in Karachi and rather the players were hit by the infection during their connecting flight in Dubai.

Despite all drama and because the TV crew has reached the venue, there is a good possibility of the third T20 taking place. Given such a scenario, Pakistan are expected to rest Shadab Khan, Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf and play Shahnawaz Dahani, Mohd. Hasnain and Usman Qadir instead.
