Haider Ali scored 68 runs of 39 balls yesterday. The middle-order batsman also showed form during the recently concluded Pakistan’s tour to the Bangladesh. Iftikhar Ahmed on the other hand performed pretty decently in the domestic season and if he is able to somehow repeat similar performances at the international level then there seems little doubt that the careers of the aged Mohd. Hafeez and Shoaib Malik are all but over.

Is Mohd. Wasim Hasan Ali’s Replacement?
Mohd. Wasim too once again impressed with his performance yesterday. The all-rounder was selected in the squad ahead of Hasan Ali who was rested for the series. While Hasan has been in terrific in form in the longer formats of the game ever since registering his international comeback earlier in the year; he has a tendency of giving away too many runs at the T20 level. Wasim then seems to be on his way to replacing the senior pro.

Has Mohd. Nawaz replaced Imad Wasim?
Imad Wasim wasn’t selected to play against Bangladesh and he has been ignored completely once again for the home series against the West Indies. Nawaz then has made the most of the opportunity given to him so far and has performed consistently well. Hence, Imad as of now has lost his place in the squad to Nawaz.
