While talking to media prior to the #PakvsInd match Pakistan’s head coach, Saqlain Mushtaq named and backed Pakistan’s pace attack but Mohd. Wasim is in doubt owing to an injury. It is also worth mentioning here that Asian neighbors will play against one another during the #AsiaCup2022 for the first time since the ICC T20 world cup last year.

While naming Pakistan’s pace attack Saqlain said, “Naseem, Haris and Wasim have been performing really well for quite some time now. We shouldn’t have any doubts since these three pacers are confident and raring to go.”

Talking about the hot weather in UAE Saqlain further said, “We are a team of professionals which is why cold or hot weather doesn’t affect us. We are not thinking about the hot weather.”

Wasim’s inclusion in the final eleven however, is subject to fitness. Pakistan will already be without their number one pacer i.e. Shaheen Afridi who will have to miss out of the tournament owing to an injury. The green shirts then have little choice but to either play Shahnawaz Dahani or Mohd. Hasnain if Wasim isn’t available.
