#PakvsInd is scheduled to be played during the #AsiaCup2022 on coming Sunday i.e. August 28, 2022 and so, here is a look at the possible XI that green shirts are expected to field against the arch-rivals India. It is worth mentioning here that the South Asian neighbours will meet for the first time since their high voltage clash during the ICC #T20WorldCup last year.

Pakistan is expected to enter the contest with regular openers i.e. skipper Babar Azam and wicket-keeper batsman, Mohd. Rizwan. Fakhar Zaman then is also expected to take the field and bat at his regular one down position.

Middle-order

Iftikhar Ahmed, Khushdil Shah and Asif Ali are expected to bat at the number 4, 5 and 6 positions. Nevertheless, Pakistan might as well opt for Haider Ali ahead of Iftikhar if the green shirts decide to allow more international exposure to the young batter.

All-rounders

Vice-captain, Shadab Khan, Mohd. Nawaz and pacer Mohd. Wasim are expected to enter the contest as Pakistan’s bowling all-rounders. Shadab and Nawaz are additionally also expected to lead the spin bowling department for the green shirts.

Fast Bowlers

Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah are expected to lead Pakistan’s fast bowling department in absence of Shaheen Afridi who will be missing out of the event owing to an injury. It is also worth mentioning here that Naseem if given an opportunity, will be making his T20 debut during the much anticipated game.
