Why The Tour Holds Significance?
The tour is likely to provide some good T20 match practice to the green shirts before the world cup that is scheduled to follow soon after the trip. Despite victory in South Africa, the batting particularly, the middle-order has looked unsettled and so, the five match series should be a very good opportunity to prepare for the remaining season.
Also, important is to note that only once before has Pakistan won a Test series in the Caribbean Islands. The Windies then haven’t done too well in the format off-late and this then should be a very good opportunity for Pakistan to improve their record in West Indies. Â
