Pakistani Celebrities Are Flooding Twitter With #IStandWithKashmir

The world’s second largest democracy has taken away the civil rights of the Kashmiri citizens in the latest round of brutalities against Kashmir. Prime Minister Modi signed the abolishment of Article 370 of the Indian constitution which granted Kashmiris special status. It allowed Kashmir to have a separate constitution and denied property to outsiders.

People all over Pakistan are raising their concerns and bashing Modi’s government on social media. Even Indians are standing in support of their Kashmiri brethen and urging the world peace organizations to take a stand. Pakistani Celebarities are using the hashtags #IStandWithKashmir on Twitter to express their solidarity.

Mahira Khan, whose movie ‘Superstar’ is releasing this Eid-ul-Adha turned to Twitter to express her support. Using the hashtag, #IStandWithKashmir, Khan sent out a cry for help for the Kashmiri people.

Mehwish Hayat, who recently won Tamgha-e-Imtiaz for her outstanding contribution to Pakistani cinema, termed the Indian atrocities in Kashmir as war crimes.

Hareem Farooq also lamented the human loss in Indian Occupied Kashmir on Twitter.

Mawra Hocane, who is always vocal about socio-political issues tweeted her stance on Kashmir issue.

Similarly, Humayun Saeed and Armeena Khan said that they stand with Kashmir in these tough times.

The ‘Khaani’ actor tweeted his support for the Kashmiri citizens.

Shaan Shahid took a dig at Modi with this picture of the Indian Prime Minister bathing in Ganges River.

Similarly, many other celebrities related to different fields turned to social media to condemn the Indian brutalities and to give a message of peace.
