This nightmare is not likely to end anytime soon as recently the civil rights of the Kashmiri citizens were suspended. Article 370, 35A of the Indian Constitution, which granted a special status to the disputed territory was revoked on Monday.

Arfa Khanum Sherwani, an Indian journalist tweeted that by suspending Article 370, the BJP government has proven that it was always about the land and the government did not actually care about the citizens.

In a series of tweets in solidarity with Kashmiris, actor Nagma Morarji stressed that Kahmiris are not alone and shamed BJP government for its actions.

If Indians are talking against the un-democratic actions of their government in Kashmir, leaving their loyalties aside, then it is a sign of the fact that the crises in Kashmir is not political but a humanitarian in nature. The situation thus, demands that the international community, more specifically the United Nations must intervene immediately.
