So far luckily, the third edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL 3) has made way for a few controversies only because of certain celebration styles and not because of an ugly spot-fixing scandal-something that had happened during previous season. So, here is a look at 4 times when wicket celebrations became memes and controversial in PSL 3.

4. When Rahat Gave Imad an Ugly Send off
Rahat Ali gave Imad an ugly send off during the game between Karachi Kings and the Quetta Gladiators. Imad was quick to take offence and exchanged a few words with the left-arm quick. However, the Gladiators’ captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed stepped in immediately and ensured that things did not escalate. Here is a look at what happened.

2. When Imad Copied Cristiano Ronaldo
Imad Wasim has come up with his own celebration style for the first time during the current season of PSL and he has really been criticized by fans for copying Cristiano Ronaldo. Without even bothering to see how he celebrates let’s just have a look at what this fan had to say following Imad’s injury during the Kings vs Qalandars’ game.
Hopefully doctor tells Imad that he can no longer do that celebration lol.

1. When Afridi Began Signaling to the Dressing Room
This has to be the one of the most talked about times when wicket celebrations became memes and controversial in PSL 3. Despite over two decades of experience Shahid Afridi ended up behaving in a pretty naive manner when he signaled towards the dressing room and exchanged a few harsh words with Saif Badar of Multan Sultans who is almost half his age.
Saif Badar, born two years after Shahid Afridi’s debut in 1996, hit him for a six yesterday and then got dismissed by him the very next ball. Interesting battle followed by a harsh send-off! pic.twitter.com/6T03vFpFZP

Afridi’s celebration style invited controversy and fans were quick to dismiss his behavior on Twitter.
17 y.o Shaheen Afridi showed great gesture n respect to his senior, but most senior Shahid Afridi lost his temper to a kid Saif Badar who smashed him six other night…
Seems kids are more sensible than Shahid Afridi 🙄
— Farhan Nisar (@farhanwrites) March 11, 2018
19 years old Saif badar and 17 years old Shaheen Shah afridi has more sense of respect than the 37 years old Shahid Afridi. No hate for Afridi but what he did with Badar wasn’t good at all.

Badar turned out to be the bigger person of the two and came up with this tweet.
