First #PakvsBan Test ended today with the green shirts winning it by 8 wickets and so, here is a look at 3 positives that have come out of the game.
Openers Shine During The First #PakvsBan Test
Both Pakistani openers i.e. Abid Ali and Abdullah Shafique scored big and managed a partnership of over 100 runs in both innings of the game. This was a rare sight as Pakistani openers haven’t done well in a pretty long period now. So, let’s just hope that both Abid and Abdullah can repeat this performance on a regular basis.
Bowlers Show Class
Both Shaheen Afridi and Hasan Ali showed class to pick up wickets on a track that was prepared to suit the spin bowlers. Hasan nevertheless, did give away a few more runs than what one would expect. Still, it was good see Shaheen and Hasan bowl in partnership.
Pakistan Win A Game Without Major Contributions From Babar Azam and Mohd. Rizwan
There is no denying the fact that Pakistan depend heavily on captain Babar Azam and Test vice-captain Mohd. Rizwan. The men in green managed to beat the Bangladeshi side on their own turf even though there weren’t any big performances from either of them. This then is a good sign and we hope that the national side can play more games as a unit without depending too much on certain individuals.
