Saud Shakeel is among the best batters in the country when it comes to negotiating quality spin bowlers. Conditions during the world cup are expected to be similar to what they are in Sri Lanka i.e. where the ongoing series is taking place. The country’s middle-order to has this tendency of not being consistent enough. Therefore, it is absolutely important that Pakistan test Saud Shakeel during the series to see whether or not he is ready to deliver in the ODI format.

Imad Wasim Or Nawaz Still A Better Option Than Usama Mir

Both Imad and Nawaz apart from being decent all-rounders are also pretty capable of delivering for #BabarAzam even with the new ball. Usama Mir on the other hand is still not as a good an impact player as the other two. Hence, there is no harm in allowing either Nawaz or Imad an extended opportunity till the world cup.
