#AsiaCup23 is scheduled to begin later in the month and so, here is a look at Pakistan’s possible squad for the event. Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, India and Afghanistan are among other international sides that will participate in this year’s tournament.

Batters And Wicket-keepers
Pakistan is likely to select skipper Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq, Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood as their specialist batters. Mohd. Rizwan and Mohd. Haris are also likely to be included in the squad as specialist wicket-keepers.

All-rounders and Spinners
Mohd. Nawaz and vice-captain Shadab Khan are likely to be part of the squad as specialist spin bowling all-rounders. Salman Ali Agha on the other hand is likely to feature in the squad as a batting all-rounder. Usama Mir is also likely to find a place as a specialist spinner and a back up for Shadab Khan.

Fast Bowlers
Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf and Mohd. Wasim are likely to be included in the squad to spearhead the country’s fast bowling department.
