Ushna Shah Just Apologised For Her Insensitive Tweet About Doctors After Receiving Severe Backlash

Ushna Shah recently took to Twitter to share her two cents on the viral videos of doctors dancing while treating COVID-19 patients.

In her tweet, Ushna Shah wrote that these doctors were consuming “precious” time creating choreographed dances.

Although she deleted her tweet later but Twitter was unforgiving. The actress faced an avalanche of critique for passing judgement on healthcare professionals who continue to fight the pandemic from the frontline.

After being criticised for almost a day, Ushna Shah took to Instagram and posted an apology.

The actress wrote, “That momentary confusion was tone deaf and unwarranted.” She then apologized to the doctors for causing any offense. She said, “I vehemently apologize for any offense caused whatsoever.”

Ushna, while thanking the doctors wrote, “…anything other than a THANK YOU to our hardworking medical professionals is offensive. An absolute idiot moment on my part. Thank you for risking your lives and continue to do whatever makes you happy to get through this tough time, however much time it takes is none of my business.”

She concluded her apology by addressing her trolls and wrote, “This apology is not for the trolls who foam at the mouth and get personal and disrespectful every time they read something they don’t like.”

It was sane on the part of the actress to apologize BUT it was also a very negligent move by Ushna in the first place.
