Since the story broke, countless screenshots of conversations and compromising pictures have been shared involving both the cricketer and his alleged girlfriends.
Twitter remains dearly divided on Imam-ul-Haq’s playboy ways and there are some valid arguments coming from both sides.
There are those who believe that Imam is in the wrong because lying for sex cannot be condoned under any circumstances.
Pakistanis also believe that it was important to call out Imam’s hypocrisy to protect other naive girls from falling for his lies.
On the other hand there are those who believe that since all the relationships that Imam was allegedly in were consensual, the screenshots posted by the girls should be classified as revenge pornography and condemned.
There are some valid concerns about how this scandal might end-up discouraging those girls who were planning to come out against their harassers, derailing the momentum of the #MeToo movement in Pakistan.
