Haris Rauf Instead Of Usman Shinwari
Usman Shinwari has had a pretty ordinary time during the last few months. He been leaking far too many runs and hence, seems to lack control.
Haris Rauf on the other hand has bowled with pace and brilliant control particularly, with the old ball and has been one of the finds of PSL 4. Therefore, there will be no surprises if the pacer makes it to Pakistan’s squad when selectors announce the 15 or 16 members for the ODI series against Australia.

Umar Akmal As Mohd. Rizwan’s Replacement
After having missed his opportunity in Sarfraz Ahmed’s absence during the tour to South Africa, Mohd. Rizwan is all set to be dropped for the ODI series against Australia.
Hence, with Umar Akmal showing form, with him being capable of keeping on part-time basis and with him representing the same franchise that Sarfraz Ahmed is leading; there is every chance of his selection, come the ODIs against the Aussie Boys.
His differences with Mickey Arthur might make things a little tricky for the middle order batsman but the head coach is under pressure himself to retain his position. Thus, it is likely that he will not show too much of resistance if the selectors and the captain insist.

Wahab Riaz Ahead of Faheem Ashraf
Faheem Ashraf too despite countless opportunities during the last couple of years is yet to make his mark. Nevertheless, the fact that he has been performing well in PSL 4 and of course, because he is apparently, one of Mickey Arthur’s favorites; he might just survive.
Still, it would be difficult for the selectors to completely overlook Wahab Riaz’s performance in the tournament. The left-arm pacer has bowled accurately and with good pace. Hence, the probability of him registering a comeback cannot be ruled out, at least at this point in time.
