Shahid Afridi Asks Babar Azam To Change His Batting Position Ahead Of The #T20WorldCup2022 Semi-final
Former captain, Shahid Afridi while expressing his views on Samaa TV has suggested a change of batting position for Babar Azam. While explaining the suggestion the 42 year old said, “Players are performing well so far, but I think Babar should show some responsibility in batting because they are experimenting with the batting order, which they shouldn’t do. Utilize the powerplay, and Babar should come down to number three position and elevate [Mohammad] Haris as an opener.”

The former all-rounder further said, “You look at Iftikhar or Shan Masood and you can see their intention in their body language, that they are looking to hit the ball. We need that kind of intention, that kind of cricket. What’s the point of scoring a run-a-ball 30 or 35 if you can’t finish the game having used up that many deliveries?”
