#PAKvSA match during the #T20worldcup2022 was played yesterday in Sydney. Pakistan won the contest by 33 runs and so, here is a look at three things that we were able to learn from the rain hit game after the result of which Pakistan still has a slim chance of making it to the semi-final stage of the ICC event.

#PakvSA: Haris And Shadab Play Their Best Knocks
Mohd. Haris who came in place of Fakhar Zaman scored 28 of 11 balls. He hit 3 sixes and 2 fours during the cameo. Ever since making his debut earlier in the year, Haris has not been able to impress. Yesterday however, he showed intent and batted with supreme confidence to play what as of now is his best international knock. We just hope he can be a little more consistent in producing similar performances in future as well.
Shadab Khan on the other hand too played his best T20 international knock yesterday. Pakistan’s vice-captain scored 52 of 22 balls with the help of four sixes and three fours. In case of Shadab as well we hope that he can keep up the good work in future as well.

Is Captaincy Affecting Babar Azam’s Performance?
Babar Azam looked pretty ordinary throughout his stay in the middle yesterday. The Pakistani skipper scored only 6 of 15 balls. At no point did he look half as good as he is and so, we seriously wonder if the pressure of captaincy is now beginning to adversely affect his overall performance as a batter.

Did South Africa Choke?
South Africa is known to be one of the best fielding units in the world. Yesterday however, they dropped plenty of catches. Their ground fielding and bowling too wasn’t much to talk home about and so, we wonder if the Proteas actually chocked once more. If that’s the case, then the Pakistani camp will hope that they do something similar to lose their final match of the event on Sunday as well.
It is worth mentioning here that to qualify for the semis, Pakistan must beat Bangladesh. Moreover, the green caps also need to see either South Africa or India lose their last game of the tournament. Â
