While shedding light on the entire controversy the 44 year old said, “I was accused of rape then (in 2005). There was some other boy from the Pakistan team, who had a misunderstanding with a girl. Pakistan team management hid the boy’s doing.”

Shoaib who hold the world record for bowling the quickest delivery ever while discussing the regrettable incident further said, “I asked the board to not reveal the boy’s name, just announce that Shoaib was not there. When that case happened, everyone suspected me.”

Why PCB Didn’t Initiate An Inquiry

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) did not initiate a formal inquiry back then and in a press statement explained that, “In the absence of a formal complaint, there is no legal basis to press further charges.”

It is worth mentioning here that the controversy is believed to have happened in Melbourne before the boxing day Test.
